Lyrics
There’s a girl I know, she’s so cool,
She looks like you.
And there’s no doubt I’m falling in love
With the woman I’m speaking of.
She’s so alluring when she smiles my way,
I wish she knew what I want to say.
‘Cause she’s the one I want to be with,
I can only imagine that first kiss.

Chorus:
And if we were alone,
Just us two,
I’d say “all of me,
Wants all of you,
And I’m hoping all of you,
Wants me too.”

One day soon, I’ll try to make it right
Let her know, what I feel inside.
‘Cause I think about her, all the time
Yearning for her, to be mine.

Chorus (repeat)

Song NotesI originally wrote this in 1980 after I moved from Canada to attend university in Florida. It is a whimsical look inside a young, shy man’s thoughts about the girl of his fancy and whether he’ll have the courage to ask to ask her to come to live with him in the USA. Most of the instrumental work in recording this song was done by Doug Hutchison, a college buddy and my first friend in the USA. A great musician, Doug taught me guitar stuff and we would play this and other songs whenever we got together. We kept in touch through the years and I was pleased to be able to finally get Doug onto one of my albums. — Kenny Butterill
